Singing for Health

A growing body of evidence suggests that singing can play a vital role in enabling people living with long term conditions to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing. Many of our members testify to this fact, and we are fortunate to have close links with the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health who are actively engaged in research into this developing area.

Please find below films of some of the research undertaken by the SDHRC, listed here with the permission of Professor Stephen Clift who, with Professor Grenville Hancox MBE, founded the research centre in 2008.
